Dionísio Pestana receives Career Excellence Award,

The Chairman of Pestana Hotel Group, Dionísio Pestana, was granted the Career Excellence Award by Travelstore American Express Global Business Travel, for his notable contribution to the national economy and the international projection of the excellency of the Portuguese tourism.

The 9th edition of the Business Travel Trade Show – SVN17, promoted by American Express Global Business Travel gathers the main players in the business travel and tourism industry. The event’s main objective is to contribute to the professionalization of the industry and for that purpose it annualy grants the Excellence Award to distinguish a leading personality of the business.

The event’s theme was “2027 – The Next 10 Years”, and included the presence of the Secretary of State of Tourism, Ana Mendes Godinho, and many other speakers including the European Comissioner for Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas.

The award aims to pay tribute to the dedication and excellence of Dionisio Pestana’s professional career for 45 years at Pestana Hotel Group, the largest international hotel group of Portuguese origin.

Founded in 1972, the Pestana Hotel Group is the largest multinational hotel group of Portuguese origin with 7 thousand employees in the world. It leads the market with 90 hotels that sum more than 11.000 rooms in 15 countries in 4 continents. With 1.1 Bilion in assets it will overcome the 100 hotels benchmark in 2018.
