The largest multinational hotel group of Portuguese origin is reinforcing its commitment to the USA, a market where it has been present for more than a decade and where it already operates three hotels: two in New York and one in Miami.

Orlando, Florida, has been selected as the location for Pestana Hotel Group’s fourth hotel in the United States. The new establishment, Pestana Orlando Suites – Lake Buena Vista, will represent the 109th unit in the group’s hotel chain, which boasts a history spanning over fifty years.

With the acquisition of this new hotel in Lake Buena Vista, the Pestana Hotel Group is strengthening its presence in the USA, increasing the group’s total number of rooms in the North American market to 500.

The expansion to Orlando thus complements the Pestana Hotel Group’s current offer in Miami, where it opened its first hotel in the US in 2013, and in New York, where it has two hotels in downtown Manhattan – one in Times Square and the other on Park Avenue.

José Roquette, Chief Development Officer of Pestana Hotel Group, emphasizes that “the opening of the Pestana Orlando Suites is another significant step in our geographic diversification strategy. The North American market continues to be a strategic pillar for Pestana Hotel Group and this new acquisition is a vivid reflection of our asset right strategy, which focuses on maintaining ownership of assets in the markets with the greatest recognized potential.” He added that “this expansion not only reinforces Pestana Hotel Group’s global presence, but also highlights our continuous and sustained growth, which has led us to be present in 16 countries today”.

The Pestana Orlando Suites – Lake Buena Vista hotel

Just 15 minutes away from the main theme parks of Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World, as well as the important Orlando Convention Center, the largest in the USA, but also very close to the best outlets, with countless stores and restaurants, the new Pestana Orlando Suites – Lake Buena Vista offers 127 spacious suites with more than 40 m2 (430 sqf).

A hotel that is therefore geared towards family trips, but also, given its privileged location close to the Convention Center, an option for business trips. It is also just a few minutes from the Interstate 4 highway, which connects Orlando to various cities and regions in Florida.

The hotel has many facilities including a restaurant, bar, garden, outdoor pool, gym, business center and parking.

Pestana Hotel Group and expansion in the USA
