The event\u2019s main objective is to contribute to the professionalization of the industry and for that purpose it annualy grants the Excellence Award to distinguish a leading personality of the business.<\/p>\n<p>The event\u2019s theme was \u201c2027 \u2013 The Next 10 Years\u201d, and included the presence of the Secretary of State of Tourism, Ana Mendes Godinho, and many other speakers including the European Comissioner for Science and Innovation, Carlos Moedas.<\/p>\n<p>The award aims to pay tribute to the dedication and excellence of Dionisio Pestana\u2019s professional career for 45 years at Pestana Hotel Group, the largest international hotel group of Portuguese origin.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1972, the Pestana Hotel Group is the largest multinational hotel group of Portuguese origin with 7 thousand employees in the world.
